The trivia-fanatics have been participating in a contest.  Players on a winning team get a sticker; those who take a turn at writing and giving a question set also get a sticker.   At the December meeting the person with the most stickers got an embroidered lanyard declaring themselves as the 2016 Trivia Champion.  Mary Russell won for the second year in a row, just barely edging out Dave Hartness.

Now is the great time to join us.  A new contest starts in January 2017. – Everyone starts from zero, and the more you more you play the better your chances to win.  Join us the first Wednesday of each month for a fun filled afternoon of trivia.  We meet from 2:00 – 4:00 pm.  No registration is required – just show up with your brain.

We play team trivia, based on the trivia game we played on Princess Cruise ships.  We so enjoyed the twice daily trivia games during our cruises that we brought the concept to the Senior Club.  People play in teams of 4 to 6 players, who work together to come up with one team answer for each question.  Each player contributes his/her area of expertise because no one knows all the answers and everyone knows some of them.  New teams are formed every month; this is an excellent chance to meet fellow Senior Club members and do a little collaborating.

Our trivia questions cover a wide variety of subjects.  We play 3 games of 20 questions each.  A number of members take turns in presenting their own set of questions, which keeps our games interesting and imaginative.  It‘s also nice to be the smartest person in the room, since you know all the answers of the questions you created.

New players are always welcome.  Exercise your brain.  Join us for good fun and friendship.
