A New Low In Scams

Scams, such as the ones where the lowest form of life call you up and pretend to be Microsoft, have been common for a while now.  They are hoping you will give them the passwords to your computer and your credit card information.  On Saturday this scam used an auto-dialer to call me.  Another argument for banning robo-calls.

What should you do if are not certain it’s a scam?  Hang up and use a respectable search engine like Google or Bing to find Microsoft’s support site (It’s  The site is kind of lame, as you have to go through hoops before you get a live person.   But at least you know it’s not a scam.
