County Connection Discontinues Paper Fare Cards

February 20, 2019

County Connection is doing away with paper cards.  As of March 1, they will not be for sale at any location.  Payment must be paid in cash or by Clipper card.

Frankly, I think the Senior Clipper card is wonderful.  You can use it on almost any form of public transit in the county.  And you never have to remember to ask for your senior discount.  If you use it enough to enable the auto-fill feature, you never have to hunt for a payment station in unfamiliar territory.

The only drawback is places that you can apply in person are rare, and have limited hours.  You can download an applicationn and mail it in.  the link to the application is here: Clipper Card Application.

So make your plans accordingly before your paper tickets run out.
