Walnut Creek Neighbor Express

June 24, 2020

Walnut Creek Neighbor Express matches volunteers with those in need of grocery delivery  The City of Walnut Creek has partnered with U.S. Digital Response (USDR), a volunteer-run, non-partisan effort to help connect one neighbor to another to deliver groceries and provide a helping hand to the vulnerable community members during COVID-19.

Through the new Walnut Creek Neighbor Express website, vulnerable community members can request frozen meals, order your usual groceries, or ask for other help you may need. A volunteer will bring your delivery right to your door!

How does it work?

Seniors can visit this site to request a grocery/meal drop off or helping hand.  Please note, it can take up to a couple of days to get paired with a volunteer and schedule a delivery. However, the phone lines are staffed 7 days a week 8:00 am – 8:00 pm and you will be connected with a real live person who can help you get started or answer questions.
If you don’t have access to internet, call 925-322-0264 and a City of Walnut Creek staff member can fill out the form for you.
